Amy Shuman, professor of folklore in the Department of English, is the co-author (with Carol Bohmer) of Rejecting Refugees: Political Asylum in the 21st Century and Political Asylum Deceptions: The Culture of Suspicion and has co-authored 15 articles on political asylum. She is the co-author (with Bridget Haas), of a forthcoming edited book: "Technologies of Suspicion and the Ethics of Obligation. With Wendy Hesford, she is the co-coordinator of the Human Rights undergraduate minor.
