Kristina Sessa is an historian of Late Antiquity, who studies social and cultural developments in the late and post-Roman West. She is the author of Formation of Papal Authority in Late Antique Italy: Roman Bishops and the Domestic Sphere (Cambridge University Press, 2012). Her current project examines the relationship between war, human displacement, and the development of Christian institutions.
