What does it do?

collabORATE advances cross-disciplinary collaborations, facilitates knowledge exchanges and establishes common ground. Teams can use collabORATE to clarify discipline-specific language, assumptions and practices. The cards encapsulate the essence of processes used by creators, researchers, administrators and organizers. 


How it does this

collabORATE was developed by The Ohio State University’s Global Arts + Humanities Cross-Disciplinary Research Exchange. This tool facilitates cross-disciplinary dialogue, inquiry, creation and collaboration by: 

  • Translating disciplinary methods and practices for use in new contexts. 
  • Uncovering disciplinary assumptions and promoting disciplinary self-awareness.
  • Creating conceptual innovations to transform discipline-specific approaches to shared concerns.
  • Amplifying players’ ability to reach a wider audience and communicate diverse viewpoints.
