Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

The Journal

The award-winning literary journal of The Ohio State University's Department of English, The Journal contributes significantly toward the literary landscape of Ohio and the nation. The Journal seeks to identify and encourage emerging writers while also attracting the work of established writers to create a diverse and compelling magazine. The Journal has recently had poems reproduced in the Best American Poetry anthology.


Latinx Talk

An online publication lead edited by Theresa Delgadillo (Department of Comparative Studies), Latinx Talk grew out of Mujeres Talk and is an online, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed and moderated forum for the circulation and discussion of original research, commentary and creative work in brief and diverse formats such as essays (500-1800 words), multimedia presentations, podcasts and short video. They believe in providing a space for ideas, research and creativity that may foster critical dialogues.


OhioHabla

Accessible on Soundcloud, OhioHabla is a podcast born out of the oral history project about Latin@s in Ohio, Oral Narratives of Latin@s in Ohio. It seeks to amplify the Latin@ experience with interviews in Spanish, English and Spanglish.


Origins

Undertaken by the Department of History in conjunction with Miami University, Origins presents a monthly essay that features an expert who analyzes a pressing issue — whether political, cultural or social — in a broader, deeper context. This site has been active since 2007.
