Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

This virtual event will focus on the history and current agenda of ethnic studies in a time of racial injustice. Leaders from renowned ethnic studies units across the country will discuss their own experiences running their respective programs while also engaging the Ohio State community in a conversation about the future of ethnic studies on our campus and beyond.

We are honored to be joined by Chon Noriega (Department of Film, Television and Digital Media and director of Chicano Studies Research Center at UCLA), Anna Guevarra (Department of Sociology and founding director of the Global Asian Studies Program at UIUC) and Tiffany Lee (department chair of Native American Studies at UNM).
