We realize that our COVID-19 policy guidelines will cause disruption, but the risk of not acting outweighs the inconvenience of these temporary measures.  The inaugural Cross-Disciplinary Methods and Practices Forum will explore a broad array of approaches to audience – from the pragmatic to the imagined, from studies in reception to audience engagement, delivery and uptake. The academy now urgently asks itself about the audience for its research and teaching and seeks to engage communities it once ignored or exploited. How do we address this ever more complex ecology of intention and attention? What contributions do models of engagement in the arts and public humanities make? What are the ethical debates around expectations, impact and appropriation?  The event will be open to the public.  TBD Global Arts and Humanities globalartsandhumanities@osu.edu America/New_York public
