Announcing the 2023-24 Leadership Faculty Fellows

The Global Arts + Humanities Discovery Theme is thrilled to announce two new leadership faculty fellows for 2023-24. These faculty fellows and will advise on priorities and opportunities for advancing GAHDT’s initiatives and mission.

Tom Dugdale is an associate professor in the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Arts. His current teaching and research interests are directing for the stage, devising and creating original theatre performances, and the intersection of theatre with health and science. In addition to directing, Dugdale's multidisciplinary practice includes writing, sound design and composition, installation, video art and performance. As a faculty fellow leader, Dugdale will co-mentor GAHDT’s Graduate Team Fellows with Professor Anna Babel (SOF, 2023-24) and collaborate with GAHDT staff and leadership in envisioning and facilitating the creation of new interdisciplinary/intersectional spaces for Ohio State students, faculty, staff and community members.

Treva B. Lindsey is a professor in the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies and the co-founder of Black Feminist Night School at Zora’s House. Her research and teaching interests include African American women’s history, black popular and expressive culture, black feminism(s), hip hop studies, critical race and gender theory and sexual politics. As a faculty fellow leader, Lindsey will co-facilitate GAHDT’s Society of Fellows (2023-24) with GAHDT Faculty Director Wendy S. Hesford. Lindsey will also collaborate with the GAHDT staff and leadership on the developing programming for the Society of Fellows.
