Hasan Kwame Jeffries (History) — director of GAH's Difficult Subjects: K-12 Cross-Disciplinary Teaching Institute — has been inducted into the Ohio Civil Rights Commission's Hall of Fame

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission promotes positive human relations amongst Ohio’s diverse population through education and enforcement of laws against discrimination. Their core values are service, integrity, teamwork and excellence. 

The Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame acknowledges outstanding Ohioans who are recognized as pioneers in human and civil rights. Inductees are individuals who have made significant contributions in support of civil rights, cultural awareness and understanding in furtherance of a more just society.
