Application Deadline:
April 5, 2021

Supported by a grant from the Global Arts + Humanities Discovery Theme, the Wexner Center for the Arts is again offering an array of internships for the 2021-22 season, offering professional development opportunities and real-world experience.

Considered integral members of the Wex team, interns work directly with Wex staff members on tasks and projects that help bring the contemporary arts to the public. This year, 13 positions are available in departments across the center — including Learning and Public Practice, Marketing, Exhibitions, and Development. Read an interview with two current Wex interns.

“Working at the Wex, I was able to familiarize myself with problems facing large arts institutions and how data insights can provide possible solutions. The qualitative and quantitative analyses did a fantastic job of preparing me for my analytics position at Juilliard Global Ventures.” — Will Johnson, former Wex intern

The Wex continues to enhance its internship program with opportunities to meet with members of the Wex staff across the center and to attend discussions with other interns and staff/volunteers (virtually and/or in person as conditions allow). Cross-disciplinary and collaborative projects are encouraged and facilitated. These are paid internships, but students can opt for credit hours instead. The application deadline is April 5. For more information, visit the Wex website.

Wex interns have been hired by the National Gallery of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, Groundswell Theatricals (New York), Columbus (Indiana) Area Arts Council, Cleveland’s Impact Communications, the Cleveland Clinic, COSI and Ohio State's College of Arts and Sciences, as well as the Wex.
